Ensuring we are respectful to the environment while endeavouring to teach the beauty of jade is something we will continue to work on as a business, constantly looking for ways to improve our sustainability practices and share our jade stories. Although we are not perfect, we try to do the least harm possible to the environment when packaging, shipping and gift-wrapping our pieces, and choose to work with suppliers that share this viewpoint.
Carved for Generations is our way of explaining how we do business, as we believe sustainability begins with products that will last a lifetime and be passed down through generations. Similarly, Packaging for Generations is our goal to reduce the amount of packaging and waste we produce, helping to protect Papatūānuku (Mother Earth) for future generations.

Jewellery box and shipping box
Your piece will come in an environmentally friendly jewellery box that is made from cardboard, includes no plastic, and can be recycled. This jewellery box can be used for future storage and safekeeping of your piece.
For our website customers, your jewellery box will be securely placed in a low-ink, recyclable card shipping box (used to protect the piece in transit). Any additional packaging that secures your piece inside this shipping box is made from recycled or recyclable paper or tissue.
For our in-store customers, your jewellery box will be placed inside a twist-handle bag or a small gift bag that is compostable, recyclable and sustainably sourced. As of 2024, we no longer print our logo on these bags to further minimise our impact on the environment.

Mini Meaning Cards
Your pendant will come with a mini-meaning card and a mini-artist profile card, both printed on recyclable paper.*
An element that people love to know more about when choosing a pendant is the meaning behind our designs. Most of our pieces hold a meaning steeped in tradition, and sharing these meanings with our customers is one way we share our love for jade and our appreciation of Māori culture.
It is also important to us that we share a short story of the artist who carved the pendant, as every artist we work with pours their heart and soul into the pieces they create. You can learn more about our artists here.

Mailers & Shipping Partners
We've opted for home compostable shipping mailers by r3pack, that are made from plants and are plastic-free. These are proven and durable mailer bags that will make it to you without ripping. Even better, these bags are low-cost for us to purchase, which means we can subsidise our shipping prices and pass on the cost-savings to our customers, keeping shipping costs as low as possible for you.
For our international customers who choose express delivery, we use DHL's GoGreen Plus emission-friendly solution as part of our commitment to reduce our environmental impact and decrease the carbon emissions associated with our shipments through the use of sustainable aviation fuel.

We offer a Premium Gift Wrapping service available at the checkout for only $6.95 (this price includes all items in your cart). We understand that when you gift something so special, it may be important to you that the person receiving it has the full gift experience.
Your gift will be wrapped in our New Zealand fern-inspired kraft wrapping paper, which is recyclable and eco-friendly, made with 20% recycled content, and includes a jute ribbon and a personal handwritten message of your choice.
